ABSTRACT

The project "Pharmaceutical Inventory Management System with Unauthorized Access Prevention" focuses on developing a secure and robust software solution to address the issue of unauthorized access to the pharmaceutical inventory management system. This project aims to enhance the security measures and protect sensitive pharmaceutical inventory data from unauthorized individuals. The system incorporates the security feature such as user authentication to ensure that only authorized personnel can access the inventory system. User authentication requires individuals to provide valid credentials, such as a username and password, before gaining access. Moreover, the system employs encryption techniques to protect sensitive data during transmission and storage. This helps safeguard confidential information, such as patient records, supplier details, and medication inventory, from unauthorized access or interception. By implementing these security measures, the project aims to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing the pharmaceutical inventory management system, thereby safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical inventory data. This ensures that only authorized personnel can manage and monitor the pharmaceutical inventory, reducing the risk of data breaches and potential misuse of sensitive information. The frontend was built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap framework, while the backend was built with PHP. The system’s database management was handled by MySQL.
