ABSTRACT
The University of Benin is one of the well-established federal government institutions in Benin City, Edo State, but the management of its chemistry laboratory is done manually. A computerized "Chemistry Laboratory Inventory Management System" will be a better option to replace the existing manual system. It will be an intranet-based system. This project introduces a chemistry laboratory management system designed for the University of Benin's chemistry laboratory. The chemistry laboratory management system addresses challenges related to manual inventory processes, limited resource access, data errors, and time-consuming management. By automating inventory tasks, it streamlines material requests, enhances data accuracy, and ensures resources are readily available. The system's adaptability and scalability make it suitable for future needs. This project highlights the importance of efficient inventory management in scientific research, offering practical recommendations for improvement. The chemistry laboratory management system represents a technological advancement that simplifies laboratory resource management, facilitating research and innovation.
