ABSTRACT
Drug procurement and tracking system is a combination of computer programs that monitors the supply of drugs, its distribution and most importantly the inventory control of drugs Some selected hospitals in Benin City where a manual tracking system is being used were studied during this project. The pharmacy department of these hospitals lack proper storage of drug information which is caused by the manual method being used. This poor accountability of drugs leads to the expiration and pilferage of drugs. A proper way of dealing with such issues lie in the utilization of computerized systems for drug procurement and tracking. MySql is used in developing the database and JavaScript as the programming language in developing my webbased solution. This method ensures that drugs received by patients are safe and consumable, drug tracking is seamless which leads to better health care.
