ABSTRACT
This research work was aimed designing and implementing a wireless mobile charger.
A comprehensive review of relevant literature such as articles, industry reports and published papers was conducted to gain a better understanding of the current state of the art in wireless charging technologies. Design of the circuit for the system was carried out and using relevant formulas and datasheets, components were selected to ensure the system worked properly. Simulation of the design was carried out and a working prototype was built. Experimental testing was carried out on the system performance based on its charging speed, efficiency and safety and comparison between the system and the wired charger was made. From the performance testing, data was collected which was used to draw conclusions about the performance of the system
Conclusively, it was discovered that the system charges at a reasonable speed and the efficiency of the system is comparable to that of the wired system which make the system suitable for effective charging of mobile devices.
