ABSTRACT

Today’s society is blessed with advancement in technology, science and medicine; and these have together made it possible for people to live better, healthier and fulfilling lifestyle. Yet, one cannot rule out the fact that there will still be periods where we will need medical attention and materials such as surgeries, care and medicine. Theses medical materials are just as important as the means and methods of their application and that is what gave birth to this project. The need to have a system that could not only ensure that patients Diagnosis and Prescriptions were given correctly but also ensure the overall safety of the patients receiving the correct treatment. This program was designed to provide a means of ensuring the smooth transition of Diagnosis and Prescriptions from Doctors to Pharmacist without compromising security and breach of patient’s confidentiality. Computerizing the process also means fewer errors will be encountered when prescribing drugs for patients and increase ease in verifying patient’s information such as history and allergies before and during the prescription process.
