ABSTRACT

In today's healthcare landscape, the timely and accurate diagnosis of conditions like scabies is crucial for effective treatment, reducing the spread of the infection, and ensuring patient well being. In response to this need, this project proposes the design and implementation of an online scabies medical diagnosis system using the Flask web framework. The system aims to assist individuals in diagnosing scabies by allowing them to input symptoms and receive a preliminary diagnosis based on predefined medical rules. The proposed system encompasses features such as user-friendly symptom input forms, real-time diagnosis processing, detailed result pages, and an informative user interface. Key components of the system include a responsive interface built with HTML and CSS for seamless interaction, a robust backend powered by Flask to handle data processing and medical logic, and a comprehensive knowledge base (database) to store symptom information and diagnostic criteria securely. The system's diagnostic algorithm evaluates user-provided symptoms against a set of rules defined in the rule/condition base, ensuring accurate and consistent preliminary diagnoses. Users receive detailed result pages that provide the diagnosis and further recommendations. Overall, the proposed online scabies medical diagnosis system aims to streamline the initial diagnostic process, enhance accessibility to medical information, and ultimately contribute to timely medical intervention and improved patient outcomes.
