ABSTRACT
This project work was based on the design and implementation of automated student result and grading system, a case study of Department of Computer Science, Edo State Polytechnic, Usen. The system of result computation in the department of computer science was a manual system which was very slow; retrieving the student’s record and result was very difficult, the project work in designed to make the students result computation in the department very easy, accurate and faster, the system has also been designed to make the students record and result very secured. Also chapter two focus on the literature review. The review was about computerization of student results. Chapter three deals with system analysis and design which include system investigation, the method employed for system design and program specification. Conclusively the automated system has a faster access of gathering information about students result; it also saves time and spaces in carrying out all its process unlike the manual system. The programming language used was Microsoft Visual Basic as the front end and Microsoft Access was used as the back end.
