ABSTRACT

Energy harvesting is commonly defined as the conversion of ambient energy into electrical energy. Energy harvesting involves the use of harvester to get and capture energy available in the environment and around us. In this Project, Designing and implementation an hybrid energy system is main priority. Hybrid energy harvester involves harvesting energy from different sources so as to be stored in a storage medium for later use.

Source of Energy from Sunlight, and wind wasl be harvested with the use of a specialized harvester. These Harvester include Solar panel used to harvest energy from the Sun using photoelectric effect, and using DC motor to harvest energy from wind using Electromagnetic Induction. A three way charger selector circuit will be used to select the available energy been harvested. An Arduino UNO was used to implement this functionality. Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries was used to store the harvested energy.

Energy was been harvested from the different energy sources, and the energy are been stored in a storage medium for a later use. Energy been harvested can be used for different applications. The quantity of energy been harvested was 0.1kwh. The energy been harvested was used to power LEDs.
