ABSTRACT

Most activities been carried out offline in previous years is now been done on internet using web. As expected, a report on world internet usage reveals an increase on internet usage from the year 2000 — 2012 by 466.4 0/0. With the improvement in the mobile phone internet connections and ease of access to smart phones, pocket PC's, laptops and tablets, the internet has become easily accessible by an average individual. Thus the internet has become global market for goods and services.

Anything that can be delivered through an information infrastructure such as the internet is a digital good or service and digital goods and services are not physical entities but entities that are rendered on computers.

This project focuses on the design and implementation of an online digital store which is an online website for buying and selling of digital goods and services which range from multimedia (music, videos, pictures, art prints), articles and e-books to rendering of online services such as website design, software development and such as translation. The system would make room for buyers and sellers like a normal market. This project also examines the constraints involved in digital market which refer to security, piracy and acceptance issues.
