ABSTRACT
Over the past few years, reading groups have become incredibly popular. This project report describes the design and implementation of an online book club management system, which was developed to support the activities of book clubs and their members. This would let students and other book enthusiasts enjoy reading and discover a reading group conveniently in their area, this system would also help raise the percentage of students who read. The system provides a range of features and functions, including the ability to create and manage book club profiles, and facilitate communication amongst members. The system was implemented using a combination of web technologies (PHP, CSS, and HTML) and database management tool (MySQL). This system is accessible from any operating system on desktop or mobile devices with an internet connection. The database on a distant server accessible by the system was used to build this system. The result of this project work indicates that the system developed provides easy access to reading groups, book clubs and in total improves the reading culture.
