ABSTRACT
Inventory system is an information system (IS) designed. IMS has been designed to track goods through proper supply chain from point of sales to the delivery of goods. The system could be used to automate sales order fulfillment process while managing inward and outward hardware patterns. The need for IMS could be traced to the need for accuracy in tracking and controlling goods. Furthermore, it provides a means of creating and assembling final products, eroding the needs for excess stock while managing processes. This research focuses on automating the processes associated with the design and implementation an Inventory Management System for FAGCOOP Supermarket (IMS-FSM), noting some fundamental issues such as resource wastage, vulnerabilities for theft and fraud, high cost of operation and delay in supply of goods. Noting these, an IMS-FSMwas subsequently developed to address these issues. The IMS-FSM architecture was presented showing user, browser, web server and the system database. The functional system design was presented using Unified Modelling Language (UML) while the system was implemented using Personal Homepage Processor (PHP), supported by MySql database, XAMPP webserver and Cascade Style Sheet (CSS). The interfaces were dually presented in the systems.
