ABSTRACT
Attending and organizing events is a common activity we do in our daily lives, from simple birthday parties and weddings of just friends and families to complex shows of thousands of people in attendance. These events require critical planning for its success and one of the most important issues is the effective handling of ticket sales. The manual process of printing event tickets and setting up ticket agents at agency shop in different strategic location is time consuming, and prone to errors that can lead to losses in the part of the event organizers and also very strenuous and consumes a lot of time of the buyers by having to stay on a long queue when getting ticket from a ticket agent at the agency shop. For this reason, an efficient system is proposed in this paper to ease the issue of ticket payment and booking. The system is a mobile – based application that allows users to check event availability, buy and pay event ticket online and also let event organizers get their earnings from their events. In this paper, the proposed event booking system was developed using Flutter Framework, NodeJS, MongoDB, Dart Language and JavaScript.
