DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN E-LEARNING SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

Learning is critical for evolution, where not understanding the world around you can be fatal. As the demand to acquire knowledge has risen, technology has gone a long way to provide the means to learn irrespective of the distance of the learner. Electronic technologies like computers have impacted human productivity and intellectuality. These technologies have made learning faster and easier. Therefore this project titled, design and implementation of an e-learning website for students is aimed at exploring and incorporating some of these technologies for development of electronic tutorial materials for students. This project also aimed to establish connections of integrated databases of user’s information among Wellspring University’s lecturers and students. This project is a project based on the web which enables the students to view the updated event of the current subject taken on their devices. The content that lecturers post from their device will be delivered to the student’s device. The tools used for this project are Reactjs, Expressjs and Mongodb. As a conclusion, this project provides benefits especially to the students as it will focus on preparing an online platform which enables the students to manage their student life activities such as managing several tasks (quizzes, tests, assignments), staying updated with current events, real time communication and information sharing. With this application, we can learn to facilitate another way of communication among lecturers and students through the usage of new technologies on the web.
