ABSTRACT
A web based event center/ venue booking system provides searching, reservation and booking facilities for event center. For this project, a website for searching, reserving, and booking event centers will be designed. The website will be used to check the availability of venues, cost of booking other facilities provided by the event center: so clients will not have to visit event centers as user usually obtain information about event center by physically visiting several event centers. However, they will have to spend more time and money searching for event centers that suit the type of event and their budget; All information related to event centers in Benin will be stored in the database which can be accessed by user on the webpage, but only the admin can make changes.
Some of the most important characteristics of the given system are to manage details like costumer information, payment, customer booking etc. Another important feature of this system is that it gives an area-wise listing of event centers with detailed information of all event centers in Benin-city. New event centers can be added to the website, while event centers that are no longer operational can be deleted. When a new event center is added to the website, the information and booking information will be added.
Regular update of all information regarding the event center will also be implemented. Costumer can also get all the information and facility they need to make their reservation and booking, thanks to recent advancement in web technology and online booking platforms.
