DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT OF DUES

ABSTRACT

With the explosive growth of the internet, e-commerce (which involves online payment) is an increasingly important segment of commercial activities on the web. The use of the internet for the payment of tuition fees by tertiary institutions is no more a new concept. However not many have adopted this system in the payment of dues at the faculty and department level. This project proposes a solution which is a web application that uses web development technologies to produce an online payment system. It relies on a relational database system in conjunction with frontend both front-end and back-end web development tools such as HTML CSS, MySQL and JavaScript. The proposed system will eliminate the stress students will encounter while standing in line to pay their dues at banks.
