ABSTRACT
The freedom of being out of parents watch has led a lot of students future-threatening behaviours. Cultism, drug abuse, criminal acts and other immoral behaviours could be attributed to this “freedom” higher institution students proclaim. This has destroyed a lot of potential great students and has caused some their academic prowess. It has, however, become pertinent that the activities of students be put under scrutiny through monitoring of their location. How this could be achieved with minimal resources is, thus, the motivation of this study. This research designed and implemented a student location alert system. The proposed model is concerned with monitoring the locations of students, keeping track of their movements around the campus, and sending feedback to their parents. This model is assumed to create consciousness in the minds of the students as to where they go in every point in time; since they know they are being monitored.
