ABSTRACT
The widespread use of weak passwords poses significant risks to sensitive data and digital systems. This study addresses the issue by exploring the characteristics and impact of weak passwords and proposing a novel password manager that employs steganography. By concealing passwords within digital media like photos or audio files, our method enhances security beyond traditional encryption. We analyze the prevalence of weak passwords, psychological factors behind their creation, and vulnerabilities from prior data breaches. Our system's design includes user-friendly interfaces, encryption, steganographic embedding, and robust password retrieval mechanisms. This approach mitigates risks associated with centralized password storage and interception attacks, offering a secure and robust solution. Our findings highlight the potential of combining steganography with encryption to enhance password security, contributing to the broader discourse on innovative cybersecurity strategies.
