ABSTRACT

In the healthcare sector, efficient prescription management is vital for patient safety and treatment outcomes. Facing challenges such as illegible prescriptions, drug interactions, and incomplete patient information, this project develops a smart software solution for pharmacies to improve prescription processes. Utilising OOAD (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) for methodology and tools like Express with TypeScript, Prisma, Postgres, Postman and VSCode, the software streamlines prescription handling and offers a comprehensive drug database. With an intuitive interface and strong security measures, it enables efficient prescription management and compliance with regulatory standards. The project progresses through phases of design, implementation and testing, aiming to enhance drug prescription accuracy, efficiency and safety, ultimately improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes.
