DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SECURE ELECTRONIC MAILING SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

In recent time, the security of data on transit electronically has become a major concern. The project research presents design and implementation of data encryption and decryption system, a mechanism for data security. Data security is a process of protecting information from harm and unauthorized use. The process of encryption and decryption is performed by using symmetric key cryptography and public key cryptography for secure communication. In this project research, we studied how the process of encryption and decryption is performed in case of symmetric key and public key using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Data Encryption Standard (DES) Algorithm and modified Rivest Shamir Aldeman (RSA) Algorithm.
