ABSTRACT
The introduction of computer has brought many changes to various fields such as the health sector, hotels, and banks and in the business sector. This project is based on automated prison management system that is, to automate the information management function of the prison system and overcome the problem associated with the existing system and to also improve the existing manual system by introducing a computerized system. The new system proposed is designed to eliminate human errors and also make handling and retrieval of information easier. Computerized information management system is a key factor in all organizations, hence it is a vital necessity in planning and controlling the business operations. The systematic, efficient and organized information management system provides comprehensive information for organizations to guarantee unbiased decisions.. Therefore, the implementation of this system is meant to improve productivity in term of information handling in the prison.
