ABSTRACT
The Department News Website project was designed as a creative way to improve our academic department's internal communication and information sharing. Designed to be user-friendly and easily accessible, this website was created in response to the need for a centralized, digital platform for department news, events, and announcements. The main content management system, WordPress, was selected because of its adaptability, large plugin ecosystem, and user-friendly backend. Choosing and modifying a responsive theme that complemented the department's visual identity was the main goal of the first design phase. Important features like staff directories, event calendars, and categorized news articles were easily integrated by utilizing WordPress's built-in features and carefully chosen plugins. During the development process, prioritization was given to devising a user-friendly navigation framework and executing an efficient workflow for content management. Iterative improvements were guided by regular user testing and feedback sessions, ensuring that the website satisfied the unique requirements of our academic community
