ABSTRACT
The goal is this project is to design and implement a Mobile Phone Controlled Wireless Display System. This system is able to displays characters in form of letters, numbers and symbols. Following that the dispersion of information has taken a turn from what it once was. The era of digitalization has brought about so much ease in doing things. One of which is the way information is been dispersed. Prior to this time, the traditional notice board was employed for this activity but now, various form of display system has taken over. The Mobile Phone Controlled Wireless Display System makes it easier to send and display information on the dot matrix display from the comfort of your home, office or anywhere by just typing an SMS (short message service) on your phone and sending it to the display system. The Mobile Phone Based Display System was built with various components and units such as Microcontrollers, Power supply unit, Arduino UNO board, shift registers, decade counters, GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) module, and a dot matrix display Unit (which was constructed from scratch) and be programmed with the C programming language. On the completion of this project, the dot matrix display was able to display at least 8 characters of the message sent to it at any instance. The SMS rate was charged at the regular rates
