ABSTRACT

The dispersion of information has taken a turn from what it once was. The era of digitalization has brought about so much ease in carrying out day to day activities. One of which is the way information is been disseminated. In today’s rapidly advancing technology market, most conventional digital display system is now being implemented using individual logic gates and integrated circuits such as microprocessor and microcontroller chips which contain the circuitry necessary to create logic functions are being used to implement digital systems, the advent of new technologies has made information in form of electronic display in the world of advertisement and promotion. TheMobile Phone Controlled Wireless Display System has made it easier to send and display information on the dot matrix display from the comfort of your home, office or anywhere by just typing an SMS (short message service) on your phone and sending it to the display system. The LED dot matrix display is a display system which is used in information dissemination to larger number of audiences within the location which it is situated.

The GSM module is connected with a host of electronic components which include the shift registers and the Arduino board amongst other sub components connected together. The display system is first built with the Arduino board as the microcontroller and hence is interfaced with the GSM module.

Upon completion, the dot matrix display would display at 8 characters of the message sent to it at any instance and from any distance which is dependent on the service provider of the SIM card used. The SMS rate will be at regular charges of the service provider company used.
