ABSTRACT

The act of converting a text from one language to another presents challenges for the translator. The difficulty increases significantly when translating from a highly advanced language to a less advanced one, and it becomes even more intricate when dealing with a technical text. While the medical words to common human understanding, every domain of translation presents its own difficulties and the technical domain too. In the proposed system, Natural Language Processing is used to bilingual data set and other language assets to build language and phrase models used to translate text. This method utilizes computational capabilities to construct advanced data models for the purpose of translating a source language into another. Medical words and common human understanding language tokens were determined using Finite State transition in each state identified the valid token and invalid. Valid tokens were found where transition produces letters, invalid tokens occur when a transition produce combination of digit and letter. An integrated custom keyboard was developed to input the medical words and phrases.  The Object- Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM) was used to analyze and design this study. The Programming language used in developing this application software is PHP and MySQL as the database. The program has the ability to run on any Windows operating system.
