ABSTRACT

Legal Technology is a concept which aims to bring innovative solutions to bridge the disconnect between legal professionals and the public. Legal Booking Service Systems is one of these solutions. This project presents the design, implementation, and user evaluation of Legally, a legal booking service web application. The platform's system design comprises a frontend user interface and backend functions. It includes algorithmic search and matching capabilities to connect users with nearby qualified attorneys. The user testing phase, a crucial project component, yielded valuable insights. The user interface was praised for its clarity, while the search algorithm effectively matched user queries with relevant lawyers. Areas for improvement include incorporating user feedback mechanisms and exploring features like appointment reminders and video conferencing functionalities. By incorporating user suggestions for features like lawyer ratings, video conferencing, and calendar integration, Legally can be further optimized to deliver a seamless user experience. This project underscores Legal Tech's potential to empower individuals with a more streamlined and accessible legal service ecosystem.
