ABSTRACT
The goal of this project is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of patient information management in healthcare facilities through the design and implementation of a Health Database Management System (HDMS). The main goal is to create an extensive database system that guarantees the safe, effective, and convenient archiving and retrieval of patient information, medical histories, and treatment regimens. The strategy used is a structured systems analysis and design methodology that includes user-friendly interface for healthcare professionals, database schema design and execution utilizing SQL for the backend database, and requirement collection from stakeholders. Following the phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), the development process makes sure that every step is thoroughly tested and validated to satisfy the unique needs of end users.
The outcomes show notable gains in data management, with fewer mistakes and redundancies than in conventional paper-based systems. Real-time data access is made easier by the HDMS, which improves decision-making and the standard of patient care. Strong security measures are also incorporated into the system to safeguard private health information while adhering to legal requirements.
