ABSTRACT:

In recent times, small, medium-sized, and even some large-scale firms have used the manual method of inventory management which has a lot of issues given that it requires labour. A computerized inventory control system however, is a software-based system that helps businesses manage and track their inventory levels. It is particularly useful for small and medium-scale businesses that do not have the resources to invest in a large, complex inventory management system. One major advantage of a computerized inventory control system over the manual process of recording inventory is increased accuracy and efficiency. With a manual system, it is easy for errors to occur, such as mistakes in recording quantities or recording items in the wrong location. In contrast, a computerized system can automatically track and update inventory levels, reducing the risk of errors. The capability to create reports and analyze data is another benefit. Reports on inventory levels, and other crucial data can be produced quickly and easily via a computerized system. This can assist businesses in making more educated choices regarding the management of their inventory. The process of designing a computerized inventory control system include identifying the unique requirements of the business and developing a system that fulfills those requirements. Installing the software, configuring it to the needs of the company, and training staff on how to use it efficiently are all part of the implementation process.
