ABSTRACT

This project work   describes   computerized case filing database system   which is aimed at apply management information system (MIS) in the Narcotics departments. The work tries to illuminate the role of the computer in suspect handling on illicit drug related offences. The main goal of this system is to enhance the process of investigation according to constraints of accuracy, timeliness and continuity of data. The system introduces development of web based central database to be accessed on computer by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) personnel when the need arises, and should be maintained by administrator at each command. System is designed in such a way to offer efficient solution to intelligence analysis in NDLEA offices. It will not change the current procedure activities as regard the arrest and seizure of exhibit, it will enhance the current procedure, enabling more effective intelligence gathering and exchange of information between the state and Area commands across the country and the National Headquarters by means of computing
