ABSTRACT

This project proposes the development of an advanced Certificate Verification System (CVS) for the University of Benin (UNIBEN), leveraging automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and data management to address the growing concerns around fraudulent certificates and inefficiencies in manual verification. The system will utilize secure storage and tracking mechanisms to ensure the authenticity and immutability of certificates. AI algorithms will be integrated to detect anomalies or discrepancies in documents, while cloud infrastructure will provide scalability and ensure the system’s availability. The solution will also include robust encryption, access controls, and secure communication protocols to protect sensitive data. The result will be a seamless, real-time certificate verification process that enhances transparency, improves security, and reduces the risk of fraud, benefiting both UNIBEN and its stakeholders, including employers, academic institutions, and students
