ABSTRACT
Energy demand and consumption increase astronomically as the days unfold. This development hasmade the deployment of natural and renewable energy sources, such as solar, inevitable. They serve asalternativetotheinadequate supplyof the conventional sources.
Itistheincreasingneedforvarioushomes,institutionsandfirmstoembracetheessenceofPhotovoltaic (PV) system that necessitated this project study. The research work, titled ‗Design andimplementation of a 2.5kVA inverter for a three-bedroom apartment‘, was aimed at ensuring that theoperations and efficiency of a Photovoltaic system, particularly the 2.5kVA type installed in a three-bedroom apartment is well installed and enhanced. To achieve this, a 2.5kVA Hybrid Power Inverterwith integrated 50A PWM charge controller which is used to regulate the charging and two 12Vbatteries of high Depth of Discharge were used, 6 200W solar panels were also used. The batteries andsolar panels were connected in series/parallel arrangement for effective utilization. This also involvesloadsizing, invertersizing, PV panels sizing andchargecontroller sizing.
ThehybridInverter(multi-mode),whichproducesapuresinewaveintheprocess,guaranteesreliability and cleaner output as expected. At the end of the research, an implementation of a 2.5kVASolarHomeSystem wasactualized
