ABSTRACT
Plastic pollution is a global issue that results from poor management of plastic waste disposal. As a substitute, independent recycling programs are needed. Plastic waste is first cut into little pieces using a plastic shredder machine before being turned into useful materials. The idea design of the contemporary shredding machine is fairly similar. The shaft and blades are two crucial components that mostly dictate the shredder machine's functionality. It was found that the shredding efficiency was directly impacted by the form and angle of the blades inserted into the single or double shafts. This article will look at the various blade shapes and orientations that have a direct impact on the shredding performance in order to close any knowledge gaps about the shredder machine for plastic waste.
