ABSTRACT
Responding to the increasing demand for cooking appliances that cater to both traditional and modern culinary practices, this project aims to develop a dual-function charcoal and gas oven. The main goal is to create a culinary device that combines the unique flavors of charcoal cooking with the convenience and efficiency of gas heating as well as energy optimization. The design process involves careful consideration of various factors including thermal efficiency, safety, and usability. The oven is conceptualized to have a single chamber that accommodates both gas and charcoal functionalities. Critical components of the oven include a sturdy outer casing to ensure heat retention and safety, insulated walls to minimize heat loss, and a ventilation system to regulate airflow and maintain optimal cooking conditions. The charcoal section incorporates a grill or rack system for direct grilling or smoking, while the gas section features a burner unit with adjustable flame settings for precise temperature control. Fabrication entails the selection of high-quality materials, such as aluminum sheet, for the oven body and interior components. The dual-function charcoal and gas oven offers several advantages over conventional cooking appliances. It allows users to enjoy the rich, smoky flavor imparted by charcoal while also providing the convenience of quick and consistent gas heating. Additionally, its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range In conclusion, the design and fabrication of a dual-function charcoal and gas oven represent an innovative approach to culinary technology, offering users convenience, reliability, versatility as well as an oven focused on energy optimization. This project contributes to the advancement of cooking appliances by seamlessly integrating traditional and modern cooking methods into a single, innovative device.
