ABSTRACT

Fire accident is a major tragedy that must be prevented by every possible means due to the potential loss of lives and property. Fire, if not controlled can grow large and may require hours to bring under control.

In this project fire detection and control system is used with alert notification(s) .The system use a smoke and heat sensor (MQ2 and LM35) respectively. These sensors sense smoke or heat at predefined values and sends the signal to the microcontroller which triggers an alarm, SMS, L.E.D (s) .Alert is sent to the recipient’s notifying there is fire. The control system employs a fire fighting foam agents  .The fire fighting foam agent  is simple a stable mass of air filled bubbles, which have a lower density of oil ,gasoline or water .Foam is made up of three ingredients – water, foam concentrate and air . Fire fighting foam agents is used to minimize the spread of fire. The system employs a G.S.M module as a means of communication to recipients. Another form of alert notification is the alarm system which is also triggered when a fire outbreak occurs. This is to ensure that the residents are notified in the event of fire outbreak.

The designed system was able to able to sense the presence of fire, trigger an alarm to notify recipients of fire outbreak. The L.E.D indicates the status of a fire outbreak. The recipients are  also notified through the G.S.M phone at a quick response time  .
