ABSTRACT
The vital of palm kernel oil expelling machine especially in the palm kernel oil extraction industry can’t be underscored. Hence the design and manufacturing of PKO expelling machine enables the effective and efficient expelling of palm kernel oil through mechanical element carefully design, manufactured and assembled to achieve this purpose.
The palm kernel oil expelling machine comprises the following components: the hopper (shut-off slide), the control or regulating unit, the expelling drum (barrel), the outlets, the base, the electric motor compartment, the pulleys, the belts and the bearings. Each component were designed and manufactured before overall assembly to produce the entire machine except the pulleys, the belts and bearings which were purchased.
With the design of each machine element in conformity with universal manufacturing standards such as B.S, I.S.O, etc. The palm kernel oil expelling machine will greatly assist the local and international producers of palm kernel oil alongside its associated products in terms of effective minimization of cost at reduced process, time and efficient productivity of palm kernel oil for its various uses.
