Abstract
The Design and Development of an Online Student Counseling Management System aims to enhance the accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of counseling services for students. This project addresses the growing need for mental health support and academic guidance in educational institutions by providing a comprehensive digital platform that facilitates seamless communication between students and counselors. The system features a user-friendly interface that allows students to schedule appointments, access resources, and engage in confidential counseling sessions through video, chat, or messaging services. Counselors can manage their schedules, maintain session notes, and track the progress of their students using integrated tools and analytics. Key functionalities of the system include a secure login mechanism to ensure privacy, an appointment scheduling module, real-time chat and video conferencing capabilities, a resource library for mental health and academic materials, and an administrative dashboard for monitoring and reporting purposes. The development process employed a combination of front-end and back end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a robust database management system, ensuring the platform's scalability and reliability. User feedback and iterative testing played a crucial role in refining the system, ensuring that it meets the diverse needs of students and counselors. By leveraging technology, this online student counseling management system aims to break down barriers to accessing counseling services, promote student well-being, and contribute to a supportive educational environment.
