ABSTRACT

This project focuses on creating a renewable energy system to power security lights. The goal is to design an efficient and reliable solar photovoltaic (PV) system that can provide energy for security lighting, offering a better option than traditional electricity from the grid. This is especially useful in remote or off-grid areas where electricity is not easily available. The design process includes calculating how much power the security lights need, choosing the right solar panels, adding batteries for energy storage, and using a charge controller to manage power flow. The system is made to work on its own, collecting solar energy during the day and providing lighting at night. Tests on the photocell-controlled PV system show that it works well in adjusting lighting based on the surrounding light levels. The results confirm that the system efficiently collects solar energy, charges the battery, and automatically turns the lights on and off as needed. The photocell sensor responded correctly to changes in light, making sure the system runs smoothly and uses energy wisely to keep security lights on throughout the night.
