ABSTRACT
Not all temperatures are favourable to humans and equipment, hence there is need for temperature control. Temperature control can be achieved by means of temperature controllers (also known as temperature or thermal control systems). Traditional temperature controllers include fan, air-conditioners, and heaters. This project is a deviation from the traditional case in two ways – firstly, it involves a digital controller (the microcontroller) that functions as the brain of the system (center of intelligence); secondly, unlike the traditional systems, it can both monitor and regulate the ambient temperature simultaneously and thirdly, it does not require extensive human interference. By taking the approach presented by this project, the temperature controller monitors ambient temperature upto 350C, at which point, a fan is triggered on by the microcontroller to regulate the ambient temperature until the temperature drops and stays within acceptable limits.
