ABSTRACT
This study examined disyllabic verbs in Edo (Bini) language. The study revealed that the magnificent contribution of Agharuwa’s (2015) work on verbs of which he divided the disyllabic verbs into two types -the IDVs and DDVs. Going deeper into the work of Agharuwa, I was able to account for some findings of which he did not present in this work. We saw the grammaticality and ungrammaticality that could occur while dealing with disyllabic verbs hence the verbs are context sensitive. Some of the disyllabic verbs are polysemous while others have alternate representations of which the choice would be dependent on the nature of the sentence.
