SUMMARY
The fuzzy logic decision support system for the diagnosis of Lassa fever as was designed and implemented in this study. It is pre-diagnostic in nature and relies on the common signs and symptoms of Lassa fever (fever, weakness, headache, hemorrhage, respiratory distress, repeated vomiting, facial swelling, chest and abdominal pain, shock, hearing loss tremors and encephalitis) for both implementation and testing of the application. The output of the fuzzy logic decision support system shows the maximum numeric value assigned to all the symptoms and the total value derived from a particular patient. This will assist the medical personnel in the diagnosis of Lassa fever.
