ABSTRACT

Light Fidelity technology refers to visible light communication that uses light as a medium to deliver high-speed data which is much greater than that of Wi-Fi. This method overcomes errors during the maximum transmission rate in the existing system and it is more efficient. Since light fidelity transfers data in the form of light signals, it is also referred to as Visual Light Communication. The proposed project is to send data through light fidelity and compare it with other existing technologies like Wi-Fi. The parameters used for comparison and analysis are the data rate in which the data is sent, the time in which the data is sent, data sent in one hour, data efficiency and error rate. Transferring data is done through many methods but this method entails transferring data in the form of light signals instead of radio signals. It uses the visible light spectrum instead of the radio spectrum to transmit data wirelessly through the illumination of LED lamps. It is expected of me to efficiently transmit a given data/signal which is audio in this case via the given medium – Light whilst still reducing errors such as noise to the bare minimum. In order to respond to the increasing demand for capacity and bandwidth caused by the high number of wireless applications and users, Li-Fi technology has to be introduced.
