ABSTRACT
Hypoestes Forskaolii is one of the most beautiful houseplants you can find. Its exquisite leaves and polka dot patterns make it stand out from most other plants. It improves your mood through anesthetics. This provides a boost to mood and creativity. Its natural air filtration characteristics lower stress, fatigue, and sickness. The plants were collected and identified using the international code of nomenclature to belong to the genus Hypoestes the family Acanthaceae. Cytological and morphological studies were carried out on three (3) taxa. Meiosis was normal and the plants exhibited regular bivalent paring. thus, the plant was stable. The plants were amphistomatic with diacytic and anisocytic, stomata type. contingous stomata and aborted stomata were some of the stomatal abnormalities observed. Other species discussed are Acanthus mollis and Mussaenda Elegans.
