ABSTRACT

Art doesn’t happen by chance, artists generate ideas, but they need a suitable workspace and time to develop these ideas. Working to achieve fascinating design is attained when carried out in an apt environment. A workstation that is well equipped with fundamental facilities will yield brilliant results. This research was carried out to provide requisite work space for graphic designers, Graphic section in the department of fine and applied arts, University of Benin. By crafting out a studio work shop, the researcher while working with subsidiary team members have created a more suitable working environment for future inhabitants which will aid in effective learning and delivery. A graphic workshop needs rudimentary facilities to carry out the manual aspect of graphic design that can’t be achieved in a normal studio setting. Aspects such as relief printing, lithography, serigraphy and intaglio. This research covers all steps from pictorial rendering to actualization, showing how the various elements and equipment that were installed to actualize the researcher’s goal.
