ABSTRACT
This study investigated COVID-19 lockdown and commercial activities on campus in University of Benin, Benin City. To achieve the purpose of the study, three research questions were raised and examined. Data was collected from one sixty (60) respondents randomly selected from the University of Benin, Benin City. The questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. The correlation research design was adopted for the study. An analysis of data was done using frequency count and simple percentage. The findings from the study include that COVID-19 lockdown negatively impact on commercial activities on campus in University of Benin. It was concluded that there is a significant high extent to which the COVID-19 lockdown negatively affect financial performance of small scale business in University of Benin. The study recommended among others that government should try as much as possible to make loan accessible to business owners affected by the COVID-19 lockdown.
