ABSTRACT

This study was designed to examine the post-covid 19 era and the attitude of students toward hygiene practices in university of benin corridor. Chapter one focused on the general overview of the study and laid the foundation in which the research was conducted. The focus of chapter two was to review the available literature as well as relevant concepts. It also gave a theory in which the research was centered. Chapter three gave insight on how data were collected, the population as well as the sample size, sampling technique and method of data collection. Furthermore, in chapter four, the data gathered from respondents using the questionire were analyzed. After analyzing the data it was revealed that all the respondents have an understanding of what post-covid 19 era and the attitude of students toward hygiene practices in university of benin corridor means. Also, according to the findings students in faculty of social sciences are almost indifferent about hygine practices in the face of covid 19. Furthermore, it was revealed that however peer pressure is a cause of hygine neglet among student although not the major reason.Indeed, the use of soap in handwashing by approximately 66.5% of the students is greater in comparison with other countries (42% to 49%). Also, handwashing with soap plays a crucial role in the prevention of covid 19 by 50% to 70%.
