COSTUME IMPORT IN THE STAGE PRODUCTION

ABSTRACT

Costume have been an inevitable visual element in the theatre from time immemorial, as it stands out among other visual elements such as light, sound, props, scene design. Costume has always been a major element in theatrical experience and therefore plays an important role in the actualization of a play on stage. This research work reviewed the play production that was staged at UNIBEN, Theatre Arts Department. The primary objective of this study was to establish a more narrative insight about the importance and functions of costume in a theatrical production as seen in the production of “Things Fall Apart “.
