ABSTRACT
The experiment conducted focused on the correlation analysis of index properties of laterite in Ekenhuan road, Oredo Local Government Area, Benin City. The project aimed to investigate the relationships between various index properties of laterite. The study involved collecting samples from different locations within Ekenhuan axis using a hand huger at a depth of 1.5m each and subjecting them to laboratory tests to determine parameters such as plasticity index, liquid limit, moisture content, specific gravity, grain size analysis. Understanding the correlation of index properties of laterite soil is crucial for various aspects of civil engineering projects. It helps predict soil behavior, optimize construction techniques, manage resources efficiently, and assess environmental impacts. By analyzing correlations between properties like liquid limit, plastic limit, and plasticity index, engineers can make informed decisions throughout project phases, leading to more efficient, costeffective, and sustainable outcomes.
