ABSTRACT

This study examines Corporate Social Responsibility and Organizational Commitment in Zenith Bank Plc Benin City. The objectives were to ascertain actual CSR practices in Zenith bank, to determine employee’s perception of CSR practices in Zenith bank, to examine the relationship between employee’s perception of CSR practices and Organizational commitment also to find out if perception of CSR practices varies with selected demographic variable.

The population of interest of this study was made up of all employees of Zenith bank, Benin City. A sample of two hundred (200) employees were drown from the population using convenience sampling techniques. Questionnaires we're administered to workers during their lunch break and at the close of work.

The result from this research reveals that Zenith Bank practice CSR to it's fullest and that the well being of their employees is of utmost importance to the management and this leads to high commitment of their employees. The research reveals that only marital status had a significant effect on the perception of employees towards the company's CSR.

The researcher also recommends that the management should create enough free time for workers by reducing the working hours and giving shifts to enable the workers have a balance between work life and personal life.
