ABSTRACT

This study ascertain the relationship among corporate governance and the value of the firm and extent to which the relationship between corporate governance and the value of the firm is influence by cash holding. The specific objectives are to: examine the effect of Board Independence on Firm Value of listed companies in Nigeria; evaluate the influence of board size on firm value of listed companies in Nigeria; determine the influence of CEO Ownership on Firm Value of listed companies in Nigeria; investigate the influence of Institutional Ownership on Firm Value of listed companies in Nigeria; examine how Board Independence determine the relationship between Cash holding and Firm Value of listed companies in Nigeria; evaluate how the relationship between Cash holding and Firm Value is influenced by Board Size of listed companies in Nigeria; determine the extent to which CEO Ownership drives the nexus between Cash holding and Firm Value of listed companies in Nigeria; investigate the level to which Institutional Ownership determines the relationship between Cash holding and Firm Value of listed companies in Nigeria.
