ABSTRACT
Two different tomato germplasm were planted in two different perforated nursery pots after the site was cleared and weeding was carried out. Transplanting of these tomato seedlings was carried out four weeks later. The seedlings were transplanted into 48 pots which were perforated, filled with sandy loam soil and were arranged in three rows, each row containing 16 pots. Poultry manure collected from the Faculty of Agriculture Farm Extension was added to the soil right before the tomato seedlings were transplanted. Watering was mostly done in the early hours or late hours of the day. Two weeks after transplanting, manure was added to the pots, to boost fruiting and growth of the tomato plant. Fruiting was observed on the seventh week after planting. Ripening started after 8-9 weeks after planting. The mature and ripe fruits were harvested and taken to the lab for further analysis.
