ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to assess how biomass affects charcoal when the two are combined to use charcoal more effectively and efficiently. The sample coal of Various mixing ratios of 0:100, 30:70, 50:50, 30:70 and 100:0 sawdust were used to combine the charcoal sample with sawdust. The elementary composition of the raw materials and the coal biomass was determined by preliminary and final studies. In addition, it was calculated how much the samples (in terms of calorific value and fuel ratio) would heat up with different mixing ratios. Using the Van Krevelen plot, it was determined that the 70:30 and 50:50 mixtures were high energy mixtures. This study found that adding biomass to charcoal increases its beneficial properties while decreasing its bad ones, making charcoal-biomass blends a viable substitute for raw charcoal in charcoal utilization as they produce a cleaner synergy.
